Hope for Artists: Healing, Creating, Seeking Justice, and Outreach

About Hope for Artists: Healing, Creating, Seeking Justice, and Outreach

Are you interested in using your artistic and spiritual gifts to bring healing and justice? Come join artists and musicians of all diverse kinds (writers, painters, film makers, actors, poets, singers, dancers, musicians, spoken word artists, photographers, song writers, etc.), as well as art appreciators, in exploring healing for ourselves and others. We also encourage each other to grow closer to God and others, and to grow creatively together. The Holy Spirit empowers us and our creative gifts to make a difference in this world and to bring healing and change. God is the source of all beauty and He has given us our creative and spiritual gifts to reflect His beauty; to bring healing and hope to this hurting world.

Our group mission is, "we seek to create and be one who encourages justice, peace, and change, by reflecting God to each other and to the world." Let's deepen our connection with beauty for our daily life this season together.

We pray together regularly in group meetings and we also will have an 'Open Mic Night', and a 'Show & Tell Night' this season where each group member will have an opportunity to share a creative piece. In addition we will have two 'Worship with Creativity & Healing Nights'. We meet regularly on Mondays in La Vina Auditorium at the church. Special Event will be "Arts & Justice Night" on Friday, December 1st from 7-9pm in the small auditorium.

Our group is upward, inward, and outward focused and we use our creative and spiritual gifts in the church and on outreach excursions in the community by praying, supporting artistic events, and looking for ways to serve inside and outside the church. We serve at the Church Care Center, in the Limitless middle school ministry, and in the community with our justice interests.

You are free to draw, paint, write, dance, sing, play and instrument, etc.. during our time together. We hope to see you!! We are an open group during the season, so please invite your family or friends to join with you!

Regular group meetings are on the 2nd and 4th Mondays of the month from October through  November, and the 2nd and 3rd Mondays in December of 2023. Our special event is "Arts & Justice Night".
