A Praying Life
Prayer changes things! As believers, we know this to be true but can still find it incredibly difficult to maintain a consistent discipline of prayer. This co-ed group (which meets over 10 weeks spread across parts of June, July, and August) will explore prayer using Paul Miller's book "A Praying Life: Connecting with God in a Distracting World" as our framework. Recently released in its second edition, the book is both a practical guide on how to pray as well as investigating what prayer is and why it matters. Using a video seminar course and some Q&A guides, we will spend each meeting learning, discussing and, of course, praying!
Weekly topics will include:
Why is Prayer so Hard?
Helplessness: The Key to Effective Praying!
Learning to Listen to Your Father
and Put the Word to Work
While attendees are encouraged to get the book (https://store.seejesus.net/collections/a-praying-life) it is not required. Other resources, including practical items to help us grow along the way, will be provided.
