Evidence for Faith
“Always BE READY to make a defense to everyone who asks you to give an account for the hope that is in you, but with gentleness and respect.” 1 Peter 3:15
IMMERSE YOURSELF in the reality of the historical Jesus through our study of apologetics and Scripture:
1) Exploring the nature of belief and common obstacles to faith in Jesus;
2) The historic Jesus—what can be known about Him outside Scripture in addition to the Messianic prophecies and testimonies in the Bible;
3) A scholarly consensus of the resurrection event and compelling evidence that it took place;
4) The uniqueness of the Bible and its authenticity;
5) What can archaeology tell us?
These are just a few examples as God and time permit. We will begin each study with a true/false pop quiz to break the ice and spark discussion. We will also share among ourselves the questions others have asked us about our faith, and the questions that we ask ourselves.
Jesus is in our midst, and we anticipate God’s miraculous power when we take time to pray for one another and for those in our lives who need to know Him.
