Evanston, Kids, September

Our first outdoor service was so fun that we want to get together one more time, on Sunday, September 27 at 10:00am! This time, we’ll be joined by guest worship leader Joshua Miller of the Desert Vineyard in California.

We’ll once again come together for a full Sunday service, including a band leading us in worship, a message from Senior Pastor Ted Kim, thanksgiving time, communion, and even an opportunity to receive prayer.

We’ll meet in our parking lot, and our service will be approximately 60 minutes.

We’ll be offering this service both in-person and live-streamed online, so we’d love for you to join us in one of these two ways!

Service Guidelines
We’ll follow the recommended medical guidelines to lower the risk of transmission of COVID-19 when we meet. Meeting together even with these guidelines still has some risk for transmission. Please feel no pressure to join us in person if you’re not comfortable. In particular, if you are over 65 or have an underlying health condition (such as heart or lung disease or diabetes), or if being together with a large group at this time makes you uncomfortable, we strongly encourage you to join us online from home.

Arrival & Seating
Please arrive by 9:30am to allow time for parking and finding your seats. When you arrive, our volunteers will greet you and show you where to sit. If you come with others, you’ll be seated together. We’ll be open for seating at 9:00am.

Worship from Your Car
If you’d prefer, you can stay in your car and stream the service on your phone. Volunteers will show you where to park.

What to Bring
• Please bring a face covering. Adults and youth ages 3 and up should plan to wear a face covering for the entire service. We’ll have some extras if you forget yours.

• Please bring a chair or blanket to sit on if you have one. We’ll have some chairs too if you don’t have one. You can mark if you’ll need a chair when you register.

• Please bring hand sanitizer if you would like to use it before taking communion.

• There were an usual amount of bees present at the last outdoor service. You are welcome to bring insect/bee repellant.

We’ll share communion together as part of our service. Individually packaged communion wafers and juice will be available for you to pick up on tables when you arrive.

Our worship team will be leading us in several songs. Singing even with face coverings is a high-risk activity because it more forcefully expels respiratory droplets. Because of this, if you sing along, please sing more softly than you usually would. You can also worship through dance, clapping, and lifting your hands too if you’d like!

Physical Contact
Please greet each other with friendly words rather than physical greetings such as hugs or handshakes.

Families with Kids
Families with kids are welcome to attend together. We won’t have separate kids’ programming, but Marco will be making a guest appearance. If you’re bringing kids, please make sure you keep them close with you at all times.

We need to limit the number of people in our building at one time, so please use the restroom ahead of time if you can. Volunteers will allow one person or family at a time into the building to use the restroom. They will check each person’s temperature before entering.

Please stay seated after the service ends. Volunteers will dismiss you by row.

If you’d like to receive prayer after the service, please go to the front of the stage after your row is dismissed. We’ll be offering touch-free prayer and staying distanced.

Rain Date
There will be no rain date for this event. If the event needs to be canceled, we will send out a message by 9:00pm on Saturday, September 26.

Health Symptoms & Exposure
Please stay home if you or anyone in your home has a fever, cough, shortness of breath, chills, headache, muscle pain, sore throat, or loss of taste or smell. Please stay home if you or anyone in your home has come in contact with someone who has tested positive for COVID in the last 14 days. Please follow city travel quarantine guidelines if applicable.

We have a limited amount of space, so you must register ahead of time if you’re planning on joining us in person. Please click here to register today.

Join Us Online
If it’s better for you to join us from home, we’ll be live-streaming the service at 10:00am at evanstonvineyard.org. We’d love for you to join us whichever way you’re most comfortable.
