On December 8, you are invited to give to the Vineyard’s Benevolence Fund. You can donate in person on Sunday morning using the special yellow benevolence envelope or online (please change your giving type to “benevolence”).
This special offering supports all of our help to those in need, inside and outside the church, for the whole next year. It funds things like the Vineyard Care Center — which serves over 250 families each week with programs like our food pantry, clothes closet, job programs, ESL tutoring, family preservation and more — schlolarships — so that everyone in our church can participate in all of our programming regardless of their financial situation — and financial assistance to church attenders in a time of crisis.
We take this offering once a year and ask our entire church congregation to give to it over and above their regular giving to the church. It should be something extra — something beyond our normal giving that is totally designated to helping those in need. So we ask each person to ask God and to give generously as God has put it in their hearts.
Not only does it help people, but it’s our way of loving and serving Jesus, who has given us everything. So please ask God how he would lead you to give to the Benevolence Fund this year.
