We partner with local churches to empower unemployed or underemployed individuals with skills needed to retain employment. UR (Urban Resiliency) Chicago Association, which is a faith-based program, has a weekly facilitated class which focuses on job development, mentorship, and long-term employment.

The Care Center’s Clothes Closet helps by training people in a retail environment on Wednesday nights with general work skills. Each training length is determined per person and at the end, we provide a letter of recommendation. The Clothes Closet is used as a stepping stone for anyone that needs a second chance and is serious about getting help with employment.

The Care Center’s Business Development Group helps people create resumes, learn how to interview and use Microsoft programs.  We have Job Fairs throughout the year and partner with local businesses in the community to help connect individuals to permanent employment.
